Create and send an invoice
Draft an invoice with the consultation fee and dispensed stock pre-filled, then send it to the patient.
Where to find it: Sidebar → Invoices
Open this in the portal →
Steps
- Open Invoices in the sidebar and choose “+ New invoice”.
- Check the pre-filled lines: the practitioner's consultation fee and the patient's not-yet-invoiced dispensed stock. “Add dispensed items” pulls dispensed items in again.
- “+ Herb” opens a picker over your stock and fills name, unit and price. Picking from stock does not deduct it.
- A line is either taxed or exempt. A line at 0% VAT needs an exemption basis chosen from your country's list, and the invoice cannot be sent without it. MyDosha chooses nothing for you.
- Choose “Send invoice”. Sending allocates the official invoice number and emails the patient a link to view the invoice.
- To see one person's invoices, filter the list by Practitioner. The total then covers the invoices shown.
Good to know
You can also start an invoice from the Treatment tab with “Create invoice”; nothing is stored until you save or send it. A practice in the Netherlands, Germany or the United Kingdom must fill in the practice address before sending. Invoicing is switched off for a practice whose country is Portugal (or, while no country is set, a portal running in Portuguese), because Portuguese law requires software certified by the tax authority, which MyDosha is not.
