Write the treatment plan and send the care plan

Record the treatment plan for a visit, then send the take-home care plan to the patient.

Where to find it: Patient → Treatment and Communication

Open this in the portal →

Steps

  1. Open the patient and go to the Treatment tab. Write the treatment plan for this visit; it saves automatically.
  2. Under What to take, give each line its When, How much and How long. You fill these in; MyDosha suggests none of them.
  3. To reuse your own advice text, choose “Open your library” to open your library and insert a block. Nothing is inserted unless you choose it.
  4. To dispense stock while writing the treatment plan, use the inventory widget in the Dispensed row.
  5. When the visit is done, choose “Send take-home plan & finish”, or open Communication and use “Notify patient (portal link)”, which sends the patient a short email with a secure link to their portal. If the owner chose full care plan emails, the same button reads “Preview & send”: preview the plan and send it.
  6. Optionally start a draft invoice for the consult from there. It is only reviewed, never saved or sent for you. The same step can start the next visit with a blank plan; the finished plan stays on the logged visit in the Timeline.
  7. Patient without email? “Print sheet” makes the take-home sheet as a PDF and files it under Documents.

Good to know

By default the care plan email only tells the patient that something new is in their portal, with a secure link. The full text goes by email only if the owner chose that under Communication in Account & Settings. The same goes for the Care Plan Summary (prescription): the signed summary is saved as a PDF in the patient's portal Documents, and by default the email is only the short notice with the portal link, without medicine names or doses.
