Give a patient access to their portal

Patients see their care plan sheets, appointments, messages, invoices and documents through an emailed magic link. No password.

Where to find it: Patient → Communication → Copy Patient Portal Link

Open this in the portal →

Steps

  1. Open the patient's Communication tab and use “Copy Patient Portal Link”, or let the portal email it.
  2. The patient signs in with that emailed magic link. There is no password.
  3. The first time a link is opened on a new device, the patient is also asked for a 6-digit code sent to the email address on their record. That browser is then remembered for 30 days.
  4. Each care plan sheet, current and earlier, has a “Download / print this sheet” button. The portal also lists the patient's appointments, messages and invoices, and a Documents section with the agreements they accepted, the forms they submitted, the leaflets on their care plans and any file you shared.
  5. The journal is the patient's own daily self-tracking; you read it on the Journal tab.

Good to know

The portal never shows an assessment result, score percentages or a clinical summary; those stay with the practitioner. The code always goes to the patient's email, never to the practitioner, also for links you copy yourself. Which sections patients see is set under Account & Settings → Patient Portal.
